GrammarStone is an English programme which has been specifically designed to teach spelling, punctuation and grammar to teens – and hopefully make it fun!
The textbooks are broken into 17 lessons and follow a short story. Each lesson takes one of the story’s chapters and buries exercises within its text, awarding pupils with bronze, silver or gold awards depending on how much XP they’re able to accrue.
There are also six ‘side quests’ (extension tasks) for the class’s high flyers, and maybe a couple of buried puzzles. GrammarStone is a ready-made teaching plan; it’s a textbook and an exercise book combined, and can be used in the classroom or at home.
